Skyline On A Hot Summer Day

Putting a new lens through it's paces so I know how to use it.  Photos from Penn Valley Park and from Kaw Point Park.  The new lens is a Voigtlander 50mm APO manual focus.  It works well.

The Views Are Always There

All four shots were taken from the same 20-square-foot area on the westside of the Kansas City Museum on Walrond.  Above, looking into the sunset with Kessler Park in the foreground.  Below, skyline from the same (close) spot.

Kansas City Museum, Corintian Hall. Above and below.  Wonderful details.

Urban July

City view from Liberty Memorial.  First shot is a panorama; three shots stitched together in Photoshop.  Huge file but lots of detail.    Second shot is just one. Minimal processing in PS... used a polarizer on the Nikkor 24-70mm lens Nikon D850 body.

The City From Northeast

The City as seen from the east.  This site is now the campus of Guadalupe Center.  It originated as National College ( I can't find anything online about it, but, I believe it was founded in the 40s ) then became a Methodist Seminary.   Day and night it's a lovely site.

Visiting Old Haunts

Visited Liberty Memorial last week just for old times sake... got a couple of shots... above is a panorama composed of five vertical shots stitched together.  The resulting image is 27" by 57".
Gives great detail.   Other pix below are just one shot each.

The Scout, Or, I Can Take A Hint

Prior to last night I had never shot a picture of The Scout in Penn Valley Park.  Mostly because there are plenty of shots of it already.. But in recent weeks I had two requests for photographs of             The Scout. So, I can take a hint. These were taken at various stages of sunset. The shot above was taken last the one below was taken first. All shots taken with the Nikon D850 and 28-300mm lens, ASA 64 then 160.

Day And Night And The City

Two views of the skyline from 21st and Woodland next to Lincoln College Preparatory Academy.
Used a golden oldie lens, one of the first I bought after the F3, Nikon 85mm 1.8.  Wonderful lens that has stood the test of time.   Each image created from one shot, no HDR this time 'round.   Camera was Nikon D850.
